Plug Hamster into everything your team uses

The connections library now spans hundreds of apps, each adding actions Hamster can run in chat. Plus Goals, with OKR and five other frameworks.

Connections library

Hundreds of apps now connect to Hamster.

Each connected app adds actions Hamster can run in chat: post a Slack update, file a Linear issue, pull numbers from PostHog. Learn more about connections.

Goals

Initiatives say what your team is building. Goals track whether it's working.

Pick a framework and Hamster enforces its structure as your goal tree grows: key results sit under objectives, measures under strategies.

Open any goal to see who owns it, where it stands, and when it's due. Measurable goals carry the numbers: a baseline, a target, and the actual value as it comes in.

Link initiatives to a goal to show the work behind it.

Goals work from chat too. Upload a strategy doc and Hamster drafts your goal tree from it, or ask Hamster to update a target mid-quarter.

Code context

Repositories now connect through the Hamster GitHub App. No more pasting access tokens.

Hamster indexes every function and import. Chat answers cite exact file paths and line numbers, plans reference the modules they touch, and briefs pull in related code automatically.

Connect repositories from the GitHub Repos tile on the Connections page.

Improvements

  • Generated plan tasks now specify the outcome, scope, and exact files to touch, both in the app and in tasks synced through the CLI
  • Hamster's questions in Slack now open in their own thread, and answers route back to the right task
  • Threads started from Slack now get descriptive titles; plans generated there post a link back when ready
  • Bursts of chat actions now collapse into a "Worked for" summary, and work waiting on your answers appears above the chat input
  • Ask how something works in Hamster and the answer now includes demo clips and screenshots from the docs
  • You can now change a brief's status without opening it, in both table and card view
  • You can now link multiple initiatives to a brief at once
  • Routines now have the same card view and display settings as initiatives
  • The connect-your-tools step in onboarding now offers the full connections library
  • Team invites now appear in your in-app notifications

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed your email and password showing up in the URL when you clicked sign in before the page finished loading
  • Fixed invite and confirmation emails linking to an unreachable page or arriving already expired
  • Fixed team invites creating duplicate accounts for existing users, failing from the CLI, and landing on a generic error page when expired
  • Fixed sign-up and sign-in failing on a completed captcha, stalling on a blank page after email confirmation, and hiding the actual failure reason
  • Fixed the app not loading on iOS and connections silently failing in Safari
  • Fixed Hamster claiming edits it never made, creating duplicate briefs, and cutting off edits to long documents
  • Fixed Hamster forgetting earlier conversation in threads with many running tasks
  • Fixed Hamster in Slack getting stuck on "thinking" or claiming it had no reply
  • Fixed Hamster going silent when its primary model failed instead of switching to a backup
  • Fixed opening a brief or blueprint taking you to an older one instead
  • Fixed initiative changes never reaching Linear when a linked project was archived there
  • Fixed renaming a team breaking existing links
  • Fixed Cloud Agent deliveries failing on large repositories
  • Fixed text selection skipping the first character of a line
